The Nancy Gammon Memorial Book Fund Established
The children of Nancy Gammon have established The Nancy Gammon Memorial Book Fund to benefit student literacy. The children Anne Crowe, Eric Weddle and wife Camille graciously began the fund by donating $700 to purchase literacy sets for students at Lawson Elementary. The family is planning to host a book drive in the fall to support this cause. Already over $1000 has been donated and they encourage others to give to this fund through the online giving tool through the JCPS Foundation.
Nancy was a life long educator. She died of cancer in the fall of 2016, but her wish was "to have books placed in the hands of children." Thus, prompting her children to establish this fund in honor of their mother.
