Individuals, couples, families, service clubs, alumni, alumni classes, partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations and other foundations donate to fund Foundation programs and activities. Donations may be given in honor or memory of a person.
General Gifts Unrestricted donations that are used for general operation purposes.
Restricted Gifts Donations that are designated for one or more Foundation programs.
Matching Gifts Donors can often double or triple a contribution with an employer-matching gift program. Donors should check with their employer and ask for the company's matching gift form and send the completed form with the contribution to the Jefferson City Public Schools Foundation.
Employers such as Embarq, Aramark and Wren and Associates currently offer a matching gift program and have provided additional funds to the Foundation.
In-Kind Gifts Donations of in-kind services may also be given to the Foundation. Donors may check with the Foundation regarding acceptance of services.
Endowment and Planned Gifts Contributions may also include endowment gifts to ensure the perpetuity of the Foundation. While donations of any amount are accepted for this purpose, a minimum of $20,000 is required for a named endowment and may be given as a one-time gift or a period of five years.
Individuals interested in Planned Giving may consider options recommended by an estate planner. Consideration of memorial gifts, trusts, life insurance and other options recommended by a professional are excellent opportunities for funding a planned gift arrangement. |
