Teacher/Student/School Grant Opportunities •Professional Development Grants - Maximum Award is $1,000 Deadline: 1st Monday in February by 4:00 p.m. Professional Development Grants are limited to Jefferson City Public School teachers to participate in enrichment seminars, workshops, or conferences. All projects must provide the applicant information to enrich the current curriculum and to enhance instructional skills. Sharing of information is encouraged. Grant money cannot be used for college course work.
•Innovative Teaching Grants - Maximum Award is $500 Deadline: 1st Monday in February by 4:00 p.m. Innovative Teaching Grants are limited to Jefferson City Public School teachers who encourage innovative teaching techniques and enhance/extend approved curriculum. All projects must provide the application information to enrich the curriculum. Sharing of information is encouraged. Grant money cannot be used for college course work.
•Bobbie J. (Duncan) Howard Memorial Fund Grant - Maximum Award is $500 Deadline: 1st Monday in February by 4:00 p.m. The Bobbie Howard Memorial Fund offers grants to teachers in the district to encourage innovative ideas, professional development and to allow the purchase of supplies and equipment. A grant to support an innovative teaching idea should stimulate student learning or achievement and be consistent with the district's comprehensive school improvement plan. Grant money cannot be used for college course work.
•Math, Science and Technology - Maximum Award is $500 Deadline: 1st Monday in February by 4:00 p.m. Math, Science and Technology Grants are limited to Jefferson City Public School teachers who identify a unique or critical need and enhance/extend development of program and integration of math, science and technology into a program. All projects must provide the applicant information to enrich the current curriculum. Sharing of information with peers is encouraged. Grant money cannot be used for college course work.
•Music, Art and Speech/Drama - Maximum Award is $500 Deadline: 1st Monday in February by 4:00 p.m. Music, Art and Speech/Drama Grants are limited to Jefferson City Public School teachers who identify a unique or critical need and enhance/extend development o program and integration of music, art and speech/drama into a program. All projects must provide the applicant information to enrich the current curriculum. Sharing of information with peers is encouraged. Grant money cannot be used for college course work.
•Individual School Initiative Grant - Maximum Award is $5,000 Deadline: 3rd Monday in November, by 4:00 p.m. Initiatives are limited to Jefferson City Public Schools. Initiatives are limited to the Jefferson City Public School's established curriculum framework and associated co-curricular activities. All initiatives must identify and address needs, challenges and concerns unique to the respective school. The identified areas must reflect the School's Improvement Plan.
Panera Bread "Rising-Above" Grant- Maximum Award is $1000 Deadline: 3rd Monday in November, by 4:00 p.m. Initiatives are limited to Jefferson City Public Schools. Initiatives are limited to the Jefferson City Public School's established curriculum framework and associated co-curricular activities.
